Casting a reading takes place in your browser. We do not maintain a database of your questions or readings. We do not send question text, reflection notes, coin totals, or PDF contents to Google Analytics.
Your question and PDF
Your question, coin cast, and personal reflection remain in the page’s memory while you use it. We do not use browser storage to retain readings between visits. Reloading the page clears the application’s reading state.
If you choose PDF download, the six coin totals and your optional reflection note are sent securely to our server to generate the document. Your original question is sent only when you tick the option to include it. The PDF endpoint returns the document directly; it does not deliberately save submitted text or the generated reading. Your device or download service can retain the file you download.
If you share a reading, the selected text is passed to your chosen sharing application. The original question is excluded by default. Your personal reflection note is not included in shared text. The receiving application has its own privacy policy.
Google Analytics
Subject to your consent choices, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and count a small set of actions: reading completion, successful PDF generation, and use of the share button. Analytics may process online identifiers, device and browser information, network information, approximate location, and interaction information. Our configuration excludes questions, personal notes, reading contents, and URL query strings from the information we explicitly send. Automatic enhanced interaction measurement is disabled in our web stream.
We load the Analytics tag only after Google’s consent platform reports a permitted analytics choice. If the consent signal is missing, unknown, denied, or not configured, our Analytics integration remains blocked. This means our reports may exclude visitors who decline or cannot load the consent service.
Advertising and Google’s consent platform
We use Google AdSense for advertising and Google’s consent management platform to explain data uses, list relevant advertising partners, and collect privacy choices. Google and its partners may process online identifiers, IP addresses, device information, consent records, and advertising interactions, using cookies or similar technologies. The consent service itself must communicate with Google to present and manage your choices. Advertising depends on site approval and ad availability.
We request our manual banner ads only after permitted advertising consent signals are available. Auto ads is disabled in our AdSense settings. The consent message presents options to consent, decline, or manage options. It also explains any partner processing based on legitimate interests and how to object.

Your cookie choices
Consent and advertising services may store their own preference and advertising cookies. Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga_… cookie after consent. Their duration and the actual partners used depend on the enabled Google services and settings. You can review choices through the consent message, return using the button below, or remove cookies through your browser settings. Declining optional services does not prevent you from casting a reading or downloading its PDF.
If this button remains unavailable, the consent service may be blocked or not yet enabled. Optional Analytics and manual ad requests remain blocked when we cannot obtain a permitted signal.
Hosting, purposes, and retention
Our host may retain routine access, error, and security logs containing information such as IP address, request path, and time. These support operation, security, and troubleshooting. PDF generation uses submitted content to deliver the download you request. Optional analytics and advertising storage use consent where required; essential operation and security use applicable contractual or legitimate-interest grounds.
We do not sell a reading database or retain personal reading history. Google’s services and your selected sharing application retain their own data under their settings and policies. Hosting log retention and operational settings should be confirmed with Capitan Systems Limited for any specific request. Google and its service providers may process data outside the UK or EEA using the transfer arrangements described in their privacy documentation.
Your rights and contact
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or obtain a copy of your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. Contact us at the address above. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local supervisory authority.
